Technical and Execution Challenges
The execution activities of this project included the following:
- Continuous coordination with mechanical, civil, and electrical disciplines to ensure smooth and orderly progress of installation activities.
- Installation and commissioning of process, steam, air, and industrial water pipelines with varying diameters and operating pressures.
- Fabrication and installation of fittings, pipe supports, and spools in well-equipped workshops in accordance with ISO drawings and P&IDs.
- Performance of hydrostatic and pneumatic tests to ensure the integrity and reliability of the pipelines.
- Application of industrial insulation and painting to enhance durability and resistance against the harsh environmental conditions of the Asaluyeh region.
Omran Sanat Olia’s Approach and Expertise
The project was executed in a region with challenging climatic conditions, including high humidity, extreme heat, and seasonal winds, requiring precise management of resources, time, and manpower.
Key actions taken to address these challenges included:
- Full compliance with HSE requirements during welding operations, pressure testing, and work at height.
- Use of calibrated equipment and precision instruments to ensure installation accuracy.
- Intensive scheduling and daily progress monitoring to achieve project timeline objectives.
Achievements and Outcome
- Successful completion of piping operations within the scheduled timeframe, in full compliance with international standards (ASME B31.3 and API 1104).
- Improved installation productivity through the use of digital documentation systems and online quality control.
- Full client satisfaction (OIEC) in terms of execution quality, work discipline, and safety performance.
